I really like your topic! Regarding your qualifiers, can a person fail and then achieve success? I would expand on "field" to narrow in on your topic a little. Great start, though!
I agree, you should expand your definition a bit more. Another qualifier can be how to reach success like through making an effort toward it, or trial and error, or something that you can add on to make your paper more detailed on 'success'. Good start !
Did you consider about someone could be success but in a negative way which won't bring notoriety and of course positive light? Definitely need more clarify on that!
Yeah, so your definition is quite broad. What do you mean by field? Also, what if someone achieved an award for the sluttiest stripper? Would that be a success? Also your qualifier contradicts itself because positive light and notoriety contradict. Notoriety is like being famous in a bad way, infamous.
I think everyone kinda said what I was going to say, but I would specify what kind of field. What is achievement?? Because when you say achievement you can say in education wise, or just getting an award. I also think you need more qualifiers.You can maybe talk about a person failing or something.

I agree with some of the other posts, I don't think that your definition is arguable enough. Your qualifiers could be transformed into your definition because those are arguable. I do like your topic though.
I think you could change the definition to a "desired achievement or similar outcome" because it refines the argument a little bit more it also will help your qualifiers supporting it.
I think changing the word "achievement" in your simple definition could make this topic more arguable- perhaps you say that success is a meeting of one's own goals, or maybe society's expectations, instead?
This definition does indeed raise an argument. I think the broadness of the definition could in a way help you if you channel it the right way, it will give you more room to say more and do more with your argument.
