  1. You should search where the word fuck came from?

  2. I use fuck as a non-negative word all the time to express exaggeration or excitement so I would consider broadening your simple definition, that may also help with coming up with more qualifiers. I really like the word your chose though because it does have many meanings in society today!

  3. I know that different people have different meanings for "fuck", so are you! But in your definition, I think you should define more on the word "frustration" (if that was what you supposed to write). Your audience in a important part here because people from different ages have different meanings for that word so you should come up with qualifiers that stick to this.

  4. I would just say for your definition, fuck is a verbal expression that can be used to....
and one qualifier for this could be "to express one's emotion" or something like that.

  5. I would clarify what you mean by frustration. This can mean different things to different people. Also, you might want to add more qualifiers such as how the meaning has changed throughout the years, and how it is used throughout the US and in other cultures.

  6. For other qualifiers think about what your trying to prove. It is a bad word used in modern daily speech. Maybe an age range this word is mainly used by or something like that!

  7. Maybe you can talk about how it's integrated into modern language by the reasons people use it. Some people may say it for attention, or because everyone else uses it--it's like a trend. Younger kids may use it to seem cool and perceived as a bad-ass...something along those lines...

  8. I agree with Somarrey about the reasons people use it. You can talk more about the way people use it. For example, little kids use the word because it's one of their bad habits, some people say it because they are so mad. For some nerdy people like me, we say that word when we are extremely mad, or angry or disappointed... My suggestion is try to look up sources, or you might think about the word "freak" :)

  9. In my opinion Fuck is used in the place of adjectives. The more it is used, the less intelligent that person seems. You might be able to work that into your qualifiers. I like your definition!

  11. So your simple definition states "fuck" is a verbal expression of frustration, but in your qualifers you say it can be "used in a sexual context." This is a definition, it has to be one or the other! Decide which.

  12. This word can be used in a lot of ways. First figure out if you want to discuss the word as a whole or if you want to discuss it as just one way of its use. Because fuck can be used as an insult, as a verb, as a gerand, sooo many ways. you could even use it to make a word hyphenated like "fan-fucking-tastic" lol. But seriously. Theres a lot of things you could include as another qualifier!

The simple definition of “fuck” is perfect. The qualifier “inappropriate in professional settings” may be difficult to support your simple definition. Though it may be inappropriate, people get frustrated at work and shout out this common cuss word, so what makes the setting so key for this particular. I would take the setting of this word into consideration and maybe add it to your simple definition.

  14. Another qualifier could be a way a person expresses themselves or feelings. They may think that in some cases it is appropriate to use that word.

  15. I like your definitions, because when the word is defined, its defined as a degrading way. I say that word with frustration. I think you have a great definition.

  16. I feel like you have a good start and won't have any difficulty with finding info on this. Good choice of topic.

  17. I like the idea of the word "fuck" being used as a way to express frustration. What about using it to emphasize other words. Like using fuck as an adverb. "Fucking tired" it may give you more to write about.
