  1. How would you cite your qualifiers effectively?

  2. I think this is an awesome topic and you can really go into the argument of what is a true friend compared to just a 'friend'. I would reconsider your qualifier of the interactions between classmates and colleagues because many friendships can start from things like that or real friends may take classes together.

  3. Wow, nice simple definition. Maybe add in like acquaintances, for your last qualifier? Just a thought.

  4. I think this is a great topic, and your qualifiers are very specific. I agree with Kenny--most friendships start from classes together so you might want to keep this as part of your argument. Just a thought...instead, you could add a qualifier that Facebook "friends" are not defined as friends according to your definition.

  5. This is a good topic and I think your definition is really good! Just make sure you look at some arguments that may arise... for example Eternal some people may think a friend is just someone who is in your life for a long time but maybe not forever.

  6. I like your topic. You have good simple definition and qualifiers. However, who is going to be your audience? who might not agree with you? and how are you going to find sources to make your agurment creditable? That might br something you can think of.

  7. I agree with your definition and qualifiers of friends. Friends do come and go at times so you may think it's eternal for the time being but you never really know so this makes a good argument.

  8. You have a lot of little qualifiers, perhaps try to fit them together? I think that your point about colleagues not being friends is a point that will be argued. This means it is good! Good job!

  9. Good topic. the only thing that i would debate is the eternal aspect. I think that is an ideal friendship but they can end if one is not working at preserving the friendship

  10. Your simple definition is "Friendship is an relationship between two or more individuals." The "share their thoughts and feelings" part is a qualifier. Now you can see how your simple definition is not very arguable! Perhpas define friendship as "the sharing of thoughts and feelings" instead!

  11. I like that you include an anti-argument in a sense by defining the word by saying what it isn't. I think your definition is very strong and you're on the right track!

  12. Your last qualifier of “The interactions between classmates in a class, colleagues in a profession are not friendship” I believe would be more beneficial as an argumentative point of one of your three qualifiers, rather than one by itself. Also, your other qualifiers of loyal, eternal, and honesty, may have to be further explained, because these straight components can be viewed in an ambiguous way.

  15. I think everyone touched up what I was going to say. But I feel like your definition is not arguable, because that is the actual exception of everyone definition of friends, and I think its to broad. I feel like your qualifiers are way to close to the actual definition, so I you might to make your definition stronger.

  16. This seems like something that's a dictionary definition where no one would argue against. Maybe except the classroom and work profession because why can't you be classmates and friends?

  17. the definition is pretty close to dictionary definition maybe less broad the qualifiers are good and can work

  18. Good argument but you'll have to think about other opposed view points and that'll definitely male your paper longer. Great job!

  19. Good job on your qualifiers! You have a lot of good ones. I would definitely add Chelsea's facebook idea as a qualifier.
